South Bay Expressway Launches Spanish Language Web Site
Landmark Road to Revolutionize Travel Between the U.S. and Mexico
(SAN DIEGO - March 15, 2006) - South Bay Expressway, a 10-mile technologically advanced toll road that will run from SR 54 in Spring Valley to SR 905 near the Otay Mesa International Border Crossing, today announced the launch of its Spanish language Web site at http://www.southbayexpressway.com/sbx_esp/.
The Web site features a wealth of information about South Bay Expressway, which will revolutionize travel between Mexico and the U.S., connecting people and businesses on both sides of the border. The site's features include construction updates, a time-lapsed Webcam of Otay River Bridge construction and project maps.
"We're excited about our new Spanish-language Web site. South Bay Expressway is truly an international road," said Greg Hulsizer, CEO of California Transportation Ventures, Inc., owner and operator of South Bay Expressway. "Our customers will now be able to use South Bay Expressway to get directly from Mexico to Otay Mesa and eastern Chula Vista, rather than taking the roundabout route they are forced to today via SR-905 and I-805. By using South Bay Expressway, our customers will save around 30 minutes off a trip between Otay Mesa and eastern Chula Vista, Spring Valley or La Mesa."
South Bay Expressway's Web site is the best place to sign up for FasTrak(tm), an electronic toll collection system that allows drivers to pass through toll plazas at regular highway speeds. In addition to providing a discount on tolls, visitors who sign up on the FasTrak interest list will be automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win a year of free tolls on South Bay Expressway and other fun prizes.
South Bay Expressway creates a new north-south route for businesses and commuters on both sides of the border, an alternative to the congested I-805, SR 905 and I-5 highways. The state-of-the-art road, San Diego's most significant transportation project in more than a decade, creates a direct route to and from eastern Chula Vista and Mexico as well as providing access to communities such as La Mesa, Spring Valley, Mission Valley and La Jolla. No matter where in greater San Diego you're traveling, South Bay Expressway allows you to escape from gridlock and enjoy a fast, reliable connection.
